The Ministry of Science and Innovation, in collaboration with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), organised this event as part of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The conference, held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid, brought together key stakeholders in science and innovation, including Oficina C, to exchange ideas and discuss public policies at the national and European levels.

Oficina C coordinators Ana Elorza and Alfonso Cuenca participated in the roundtable discussion on scientific advice in the legislative power. The panel also comprised officials from the Court of Auditors and the Parliament of Catalonia's Office of Science and Technology (CAPCIT). Oficina C representatives emphasised the "Method C" approach established by Oficina C, which aims to integrate and institutionalise collective intelligence in order to facilitate conversation between the scientific and political communities.

In addition to evidence report generation, it was noted that Oficina C engages in informal activities, such as its pairing scheme, which helps to build trust, create networks, and establish strong relationships between the parties involved: the scientific community and the deputies.
