The Ministry of Science and Innovation, in collaboration with the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), hosted this event, which brought together all stakeholders involved in science for public policies in Spain, including Oficina C.

This conference, which took place during the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, provided a forum for dialogue among various actors in the Spanish R&D&I system, as well as political representatives and public managers at all levels of Public Administration, including European, national, and regional.

The conference took place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. All three coordinators of the Office of Science and Technology of the Congress of Deputies attended.

The conference also featured a discussion of the role of scientific advice to the executive branch, as well as three concurrent interactive sessions where participants could interact and discuss their ideas on a variety of themes.

The event finally presented the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) report on the ecosystem of scientific advice in public policy in Spain. This document is part of a series of JRC publications aiming at "strengthening and connecting the science for policy ecosystems across Europe." It presents a comprehensive analysis of the current system of scientific advice in Spain, highlighting the challenges for its consolidation and improvement.
